Extended Hours
For Patients of Dr. M. Elkin, appointments are available from 6AM - 8AM Monday - Thursday. For all patients, weekend appointments are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 9AM - 1PM.

COVID-19 Important Notice
WE ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK AS PER USUAL CLINIC HOURS! PLEASE NOTE THAT MASKS ARE STILL MANDATORY ON-S
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made changes to the way we deliver your care. To minimize spread of COVID-19 we are offer telemedicine appointments. We are also seeing patients in clinic for walk-in concerns as well as by appointment.
In the spirit of social distancing, walk-in patients may be asked to wait in their cars until they are ready to be seen by the doctor. All patients are required to wear a mask when presenting to the clinic.
WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT COME INTO THE CLINIC IF:
- You have respiratory symptoms such as cough, cold, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, sore throat
- You have travelled outside of Manitoba within 14 days or been in contact with someone who has
- You have had close contact with someone with flu-like symptoms
- You have had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, while not wearing recommended protective equipment and/or not practicing social distancing
- You have had laboratory exposure working directly with biological specimens that contain COVID-19
If you meet the above criteria we request that you stay home and book a telephone consultation instead. Please note, not all appointment types can be booked online due to COVID-19. You will have to call the clinic directly if you are unable to find the appointment type you are in need of on the online booking system. You may require COVID-19 testing which we DO NOT perform on-site. If you need to be tested for COVID-19, you can call HealthLinks at (204) 788-8200 or 1-888-315-9527. Healthlinks will then direct you to one of the designated testing sites in Winnipeg:

Telephone/Virtual appointments can be booked online at www.charleswoodclinic.ca or you can call the clinic at (204) 889-7200 to make an appointment. If you have an upcoming pre-scheduled appointment, and have not been told to come in to the clinic for that appointment, stay home and your physician will contact you by telephone to provide your care.
For medication refills, make a telemedicine appointment so that your doctor can provide this service. We will accept requests from your pharmacist if you are unable to book a telephone appointment prior to running out of your medications.

What is Telemedicine?
Telemedicine allows you to consult with a doctor via telephone (and video call if necessary) and address your medical needs quickly and without travelling and sitting in a waiting room!
Be assured, that via telemedicine, we will be able to follow-up on outstanding results, investigate new complaints, order bloodwork, prescribe medications, arrange imaging tests and make referrals to specialists as needed.
PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO COVID-19, SOME APPOINTMENT TYPES CANNOT BE BOOKED ONLINE. IF YOU CANNOT FIND THE APPOINTMENT TYPE YOU ARE IN NEED OF, PLEASE CALL THE CLINIC DIRECTLY.

HOW TO BECOME A PATIENT
At present, we are not accepting new patients. However, please note that when we do accept new patients, we accept patients via the "Family Doctor Finder Program". If you do not have a physician, please call (204) 786-7111 and they will support you in finding a physician that fits your needs.
